How it all began . . . .
Prior to 2011, I had no idea what a blog was and was just getting the hang of Facebook and Twitter. While I was “live tweeting” through an episode of the Bravo series, “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills“, I was approached by a housewives fan site to write a recap blog post for the episode that I was tweeting about.
Having zero idea what that meant, I took a look at their site and other recap posts, decided that I should give it a try and wrote my very first blog post. You can see it HERE
Yes, it’s pretty awful. Can you tell I had ZERO clue of what I was doing?
Well, they came back and asked me to do it again. And a third time. And by the third time I had decided that if I was good enough to do this blogging thing on their website, I was good enough to have my own.
Me, Myself and Jen was born on Blogger a mere five hours later.
While I started out writing nothing but “Housewives” recaps, I soon found my voice in the blogosphere and started to move away from only posting about the reality shows that I still faithfully watched.
My love of “Housewives” has not faded over the years. I wrote and entire post about what my “Housewives Tagline” would be if I were ever cast on a show. I’ve had some fantastic opportunities to meet several members of the cast of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” at meet & greets in my hometown (My blog was a sponsor of one of them!). And while I’ve shifted directions in my blog and rarely write a post that is “Housewives” specific, I don’t shy away from the “Housewives” that helped get me where I am today.
To all of you fabulous (and a little cray-cray) Bravo Housewives, I say this: THANK YOU. Who knows what I would be doing without you??
